I usually make it a point to NOT go to Starbucks when I’m in Austria as there are many more enjoyable coffee houses here, but I learned that they were introducing ‘cake pops’ and I had to check them out.  I had two coupons for a “free” cake pop with purchase of a beverage and the anticipation was definitely high.  Perhaps a little too high though, because these were nothing like the cake ball I was expecting.  I think part of the problem was the treat has been changed to cater to Europeans and I’m guessing it’s also lacking trans fat and many other things that would make it delicious.  Anyway, I will not be returning to a Viennese Starbucks anytime soon.  I may step foot inside an American one though, as tomorrow I’m going to NYC! Woo…America, here I come!
